The information was announced at a conference organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee in Hanoi on July 19 to review the "Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee participates in environmental protection, responding to climate change between 2019 and 2022" project.
In the period 2019-2022, the Youth Union at all levels across the country have deployed more than 390,000 nurseries providing trees, more than 8,000 training classes to improve the capacity for environmental protection and climate change response with the participation of more than 680,000 youth union members.
With a total resource of more than 175 billion VND from the state budget and socialisation, the project titled "Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee participates in environmental protection, responding to climate change between 2019 and 2022" has achieved and exceeded all seven targets, contributing to effectively solving current environmental and climate problems.
Addressing the event, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Ngo Van Cuong said that many creative and effective models of youth nationwide appeared during the implementation of the project.
