With the ambition of becoming one of the world’s top five economies and currently a driving force in science, technology, and innovation in Southeast Asia, Indonesia has chosen CT Group as its partner in the rapidly emerging field of LAE.
At the headquarters of the Ministry of National Development Planning, Minister Rachmat Pambudy said: “Four months ago, I visited CT Group’s headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City and was truly impressed by Viet Nam’s scientific and technological development. LAE and national digital transformation are two very important new areas for Indonesia. We look forward to long-term cooperation with CT Group.”

LAE is a completely new economy built on advanced technologies, booming in developed countries. In China, LAE was valued at only 65 billion USD in 2023 but is expected to reach 550 billion USD by 2025.
LAE is a multi-layered economic structure operating in the airspace below 3,000 metres, projecting terrestrial economic sectors into the air with far greater productivity. It relies on advances such as unmanned aerial vehicles, artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, aircraft, airships, space stations, and airspace management systems.
The Indonesian Government established the Low Altitude Economy Committee in 2024. At the same time, the government has allocated an unprecedented budget of 900 billion USD for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
Ta Van Thong, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Indonesia, said: “We acknowledge and highly appreciate the cooperation between the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning and CT Group in elevating bilateral relations to a new height, especially on the occasion of both countries celebrating the 80th anniversary of Independence. The Embassy of Viet Nam in Indonesia is committed to always accompanying you and keeping our doors open at all times.”
At the event, CT Group also signed cooperation agreements with eight leading Indonesian universities: Terbuka Open University, Udayana University, IPB University, Surabaya University, Indonesian Institute of Technology (ITI), Perbanas Institute, Visi Nusantara Institute of Technology and Business (ITB Vinus), and Riau University. These agreements aim to fully harness the potential of both sides in training, human resource development, and scientific research in high technology.
