Party and State officials visit localities affected by Typhoon Yagi

The local authorities reported that in the past few days, 10 out 12 villages in Son Dong Commune, with a total of 1,500 households, have been isolated by floodwaters.

The commune recorded two deaths while around 170 hectares of aquatic products, 90 hectares of corn, and many people's properties have been damaged.

While sharing the locales’ hardships in this difficult period of time, Politburo member Tran Cam Tu highly appreciated the drastic efforts and participation of the entire political system, local authorities, armed forces, and the people of Vinh Phuc in preventing, and minimising the damage caused by natural disasters.

He handed over 3.2 billion VND to aid Vinh Phuc Province in its recovery efforts following Typhoon Yagi and subsequent floods.

On the same day, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan inspected flood prevention and control efforts in Yen Binh Commune, Huu Lung District, Lang Son Province.

On behalf of the Party and State, she expressed deep sympathy with Lang Son Province, which recorded three deaths, 10 injuries, and economic losses of nearly 900 billion VND.

She presented 100 gifts, each worth 3.5 million VND, to households affected by storms in Huu Lung District.
