The Pho Museum is a non-public culinary museum licensed by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports. It is Viet Nam’s first culinary museum. The museum aims to preserve, develop, and promote the values of Viet Nam’s culinary cultural heritage to domestic and international visitors.

According to Tran Van Bac, founder of the Pho Museum and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viet Nam Tourism Destination Joint Stock Company, the museum was established to tell the story of pho’s 100-year journey in Viet Nam — from street vendors to dining tables around the world.

The story is presented through a range of activities, including film screenings, artefact displays, installation art, and engaging hands-on experiences, thereby spreading the essence of Viet Nam’s culinary culture in its links to Vietnamese daily life and society.

Covering a total area of around 800 square metres m across three experiential floors, the Pho Museum operates a closed-route visit lasting about 60–75 minutes. The journey is designed as a narrative, guiding visitors from historical contexts and cultural spaces to culinary experiences, helping them understand the story of pho and gain a deeper appreciation for the nation’s pho culture.

The Pho Museum will open from 8:00 to 21:30 daily, while the food area will operate 24 hours a day throughout the week to serve visitors. The Pho Museum is expected to welcome around 1,500–2,000 visitors per day, of whom about 60% are international visitors and tour groups.
