The handover ceremony was attended by Nguyen Truong Son, deputy director of the department; Adamczyk Mirosław, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Polish Embassy; and Rafael Jose De Bustamante Tello, Minister Counsellor of the EU Delegation to Viet Nam.

The seven-tonne aid consignment includes blankets, tents, buckets, basins, tubular elastic bandages and other essential items, helping meet basic daily needs of people affected by natural disasters in Dak Lak.

According to the ministry’s statistics, as of December 24, 2025, natural disasters this year left more than 400 people dead or missing and over 700 injured, with total economic losses estimated at over 98.67 trillion VND (3.75 billion USD).

In response to particularly severe disasters, ministries, agencies and international partners have acted with urgency and determination to mitigate and overcome the consequences.

The Government has issued resolutions outlining key tasks and solutions to swiftly address post-disaster impacts, stabilise people’s livelihoods, restore production and support recovery efforts in affected localities, including those in the central region.
