Speaking at the announcement, VICETA Chairman Luong Van Tu emphasised that digital transformation is not merely a technological shift, but a journey that enables communities to confidently generate new value through knowledge and creativity.
“This project is not just about selling products,” Tu noted. “More importantly, it instils belief in people’s ability to bring their hometown products to wider markets through the power of technology.”
In its initial phase, VICETA will collaborate with local authorities to host a national series of seminars under the theme “Innovation – Creativity – Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development of Viet Nam.” These events will take place in communes, wards, and towns across the country.
Designed as multi-dimensional communities dialogues, the seminars will feature representatives from government ministries, local administrations, leading e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Tiki, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, as well as experts and groundswells including farmers, women, and youth.
Participants will receive hands-on guidance on how to produce promotional videos, upload products, and engage directly with customers online.
Following the seminar series, VICETA will organise intensive training courses focused on digital branding, livestream channel management, and online sales techniques.
The extensive goal of the project is to enable hundreds of thousands of rural household to participate in the digital economy—boosting incomes, reducing reliance on intermediaries, and promoting regional specialty products to both domestic and international markets.
