Quang Binh: Remains of Vietnamese fallen soldiers, experts repatriated from Laos

A ceremony was held in Quang Binh Province on May 21 to repatriate the remains of 17 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who sacrificed their lives in Laos.

The remains were laid to rest at Ba Doc Martyrs’ Cemetery in Bo Trach District.

Addressing the ceremony, Vongphet Chitphanya, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Khammouane provincial Party Committee of Laos, expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifice of the Vietnamese soldiers and experts for the independence and freedom of the Lao people.

For his part, Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan expressed his thanks for the authorities of Lao localities for their support in searching for and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese martyrs

He stressed that the services of the heroic fallen soldiers will always live forever in the hearts of the Party Committees, authorities, armies and peoples of Quang Binh and Khammouan provinces, contributing to cementing the special friendship between Viet Nam and Laos.
