Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan described the "For People's Health" awards as a deeply humanitarian prize, encouraging journalists to continue creating high-quality works with a broad impact.

Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen urged the organisers to promote the competition widely and attract more outstanding journalistic works about the health sector.

He emphasised the need for accurate and in-depth coverage and encouraged healthcare workers to further their dedication. He also called for timely recognition of deserving works and authors that have a significant societal impact.

The awards provide a platform for journalists to exchange professional experiences, thereby enhancing the quality and effectiveness of health-related media coverage.

Building on the success of the first edition, the second National Journalism Awards "For People's Health" for 2024 is receiving high expectations from media agencies and journalists across the country. The results confirm the scale and quality of the competition.

The competition is open to Vietnamese citizens living and working both domestically and abroad, as well as foreigners residing and working in Vietnam. Professional journalists and media collaborators are encouraged to participate.

Journalistic works written in Vietnamese (or in ethnic languages or foreign languages translated into Vietnamese) about the health sector, published or broadcast on media platforms licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications, are eligible for the competition. Works published or broadcast from October 1, 2023, to October 1, 2024, can be submitted for the award.

The organizers will score and award prizes in five categories: print media, radio, television, online media, and photojournalism.
