Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung has signed Decision No. 1132/QD-TTg on issuing the criteria and list of national shared digital platforms in agencies under the political system, including the “Tourism Governance and Business” platform of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The decision clearly states that national shared digital platforms must be regularly maintained, operated, upgraded and improved to meet practical requirements and keep pace with technological development.

The list of national shared digital platforms comprises two groups. Group A includes 17 platforms. These are national shared digital platforms used commonly across sectors and fields, with nationwide implementation, to address common cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary issues that are not limited to the scope of a single ministry, sector or locality.

Group B includes 62 platforms. These are national shared digital platforms for specific sectors and fields, with nationwide implementation, to address issues of a sector or field linked to specialised professional processes, specialised databases or specialised legal regulations.

In Group B, the “Tourism Governance and Business” platform of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is developed to create core data infrastructure for Viet Nam’s tourism sector, shift management methods from administrative management to data-based governance, and transform business operations from fragmentation to digital connectivity.

The development and implementation of the platform aims to improve service quality, visitor experience and the competitiveness of Viet Nam as a destination. The platform is expected to begin operation in 2026.
