To mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (September 2, 1945 – 2025), the Ha Noi Municipal Department of Culture and Sports officially launched the digital platform titled “A80 – Proud of Viet Nam” on the morning of August 8. The platform includes a website at https://a80.hanoi.gov.vn and a mobile application of the same name.

This is the official communication channel for promoting, guiding, and introducing the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day in Ha Noi. It connects people nationwide and international friends in a shared journey of historical remembrance.

The 80th anniversary is an occasion for the entire Party, people, and armed forces to reflect on heroic traditions, foster patriotism, and inspire trust and aspirations for a prosperous, happy nation.

Ha Noi has tasked the Municipal Department of Culture and Sports with developing “A80 – Proud of Viet Nam” into a centralised, reliable, and unified digital information hub, providing complete, timely, and accurate updates on all celebration-related activities. The platform aims to connect citizens across the country and international friends in honouring the nation’s history.

With this platform, domestic audiences, overseas Vietnamese, and international visitors can easily access official information.

Nguyen Thi Mai Huong, Deputy Director of the Ha Noi Municipal Department of Culture and Sports, said that this is both an online information portal and also an intelligent assistant – a companion for residents and tourists seeking to explore and experience the commemorative activities in Ha Noi. The platform delivers timely and essential information, from schedules of parades and art performances to directions for traffic, medical stations, public resrooms, resaurants, and hotels. It also features engaging technologies such as the “Avatar 80” photo creator. The application serves as a bridge connecting the past, present, and future, allowing each citizen to both relive and reflect on the values of the nation’s history.

The interface of “A80 – Proud of Viet Nam” is designed with a festive, modern spirit, deeply reflecting Thang Long – Ha Noi’s cultural identity. Dominated by vibrant red and gold tones, it creates a solemn yet warm and inspiring atmosphere.

Prominently displayed on the homepage is an image of President Ho Chi Minh reading the “Declaration of Independence,” alongside marching formations in a military parade, symbolising the sacred historical spirit.

Technically, the A80 platform incorporates an AI-powered chatbot serving as a “virtual assistant”. In addition to event guidance, route directions, and consultations, the assistant can create real-time reminders for scheduled activities.

The launch of the A80 platform is not only a step towards digitising information but also a distinctive technology–culture innovation, contributing to the vision of building a civilised, creative, modern, and globally connected capital.

Residents and visitors can access the website at https://a80.hanoi.gov.vn or download the “A80 – Proud of Viet Nam” app from the App Store or Google Play to embark on a journey of connection, participation, and pride in the nation’s historic milestones.
