This marks the official launch of Scoot Airlines’ direct Singapore–Da Nang route, which will operate three flights per week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The frequency is expected to increase to seven flights per week from January 2026.

The flights are operated using Airbus A320 aircraft with a seating capacity of 180 to 186 passengers.

According to Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with its close geographical location, convenient air connections, and cultural similarities within the ASEAN region, Da Nang has seen a steady increase in tourist arrivals from Singapore.

The launch of direct flights between Singapore and Da Nang — now serviced by three airlines: Singapore Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Scoot Airlines — has raised the total frequency to 24 flights per week. This expansion will enhance tourist exchange between Singapore and Da Nang while opening further opportunities for tourism cooperation and development in the near future.

Currently, Scoot Airlines operates direct routes from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, and Phu Quoc, and plans to launch a new route to Cam Ranh in November 2025.

In 2025, Da Nang is expected to welcome more than 17.3 million visitors served by local accommodation establishments — four times higher than in 2020. Of whom, international visitors are projected to reach over 7.6 million, a tenfold increase, while domestic visitors are estimated at over 9.7 million, up 2.7 times. Revenue from accommodation, dining, and travel services is expected to exceed 59 trillion VND, nearly 3.5 times higher than in 2020.
