Winning the category for "Asia's Best River Cruise Destination 2021", Vietnam has surpassed other candidates in the region including Cambodia, China, Laos and Thailand.
Votes were cast by cruise industry professionals and the public, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category being named as the winner.

Vietnam surpasses Cambodia, China, Laos and Thailand to win the title of "Asia's Best River Cruise Destination 2021".
Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnamese tourism has continued to reap many prestigious awards in the WTA system this year such as "Asia's Leading Destination 2021" and "Asia's Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination 2021". At the World Golf Awards, Vietnam also received the award for "World's Best Golf Destination 2021".
As part of the World Travel Awards (WTA) system, World Cruise Awards recognises excellence in the cruise industry.
