Run by State-owned Vietnam Post, the trade platform is expected to become a bridge connecting specialty suppliers, in 63 provinces and cities nationwide, with consumers across the country.

BADASA provides approximately 20,000 agro-forestry and fishery products (dried goods), nutritious herbal food, processed food, beverages, handicrafts, gifts and other items distributed by 5,000 suppliers.

The products, which are certified by competent authorities that meet the standards on origin, quality and brand, include specialty products such as Thai Nguyen tea, Yen Bai’s Seng Cu rice, Na Ri arrowroot starch noodle (Bac Kan), Ninh Binh burned rice, Binh Dinh fried anchovy, Quang Tri’s Vang tea, Hue’s melaleuca oil, Dak Lak coffee or Tay Ninh mixed salt and pepper.

The e-commerce platform operates on the principle of directly purchasing products from manufacturing facilities and then providing them to customers, without the need for any intermediaries. BADASA only cooperates with reputable partners who have obtained business licences and food safety certificates.

The cost of the goods and the price of delivery are posted publicly and transparently as soon as customers make their purchase through the website https://badasa.com.vn. From now until December 31, the shipping fee will be reduced by 50%.

Based on the strength of Vietnam Post, BADASA uses the postal transportation service to meet the demand of goods delivery for customers, providing fast and accurate delivery time. Buyers will make payments in the form of cash on delivery (COD).

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Nguyen Minh Hong said that the birth of the special e-commerce platform has contributed to create a better impression for the development of e-commerce in Vietnam.

He expressed his hope that Vietnam Post would take advantage of its postal network throughout the country in order to fulfil its commitment on ensuring quality, price and service provided to BASADA’s customers.

In particular, the corporation should pay attention to the technical infrastructure and organisational apparatus, allowing transactions and information exchanges on the network to be carried out safely and in compliance with the law.

According to Pham Anh Tuan, General Director of Vietnam Post, the company wants to connect with people who have specialty products in all regions. The corporation has the advantages of fast delivery, a fast payment service and a large number of labour forces throughout the whole country, with a clear understanding of safe and quality suppliers in each locality.

Through this e-commerce platform, Vietnam Post wishes to contribute to promoting the "Vietnamese people give priority to use Vietnamese goods" campaign, Tuan added.
