Vietnamese students win third prize at international contest on Asian cultural heritage preservation

Students from Hoa Binh University won the third prize and a consolation prize at a contest on preserving Asian cultural heritage, held by UNESCO in Guangdong province, China.

According to the information released by Hoa Binh University on April 27, the two teams of Trang An and Hoang Thanh Thang Long under Hoa Binh University, won prizes at the contest, held within the framework of the Asian Cultural Heritage Youth Forum.

They surpassed other 576 candidates in Asia to finish among the Top 20, alongside representatives from the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Macau (China), Tajikistan, and Vietnam.

Each team had a 10-minute presentation detailing solutions for preserving cultural heritage and developing tourism in their localities.

The contest on Asian cultural heritage preservation and sustainable solutions was held for the first time in 2022, targeting students studying at universities across Asia.

The contest aims to promote education on cultural heritage among Asian countries and share practical solutions to protect landscapes in many countries, towards sustainable tourism development.
