The contest, launched for the first time in 2020, drew the participation of about 7,000 entries from 745 photographers from all of the country’s 63 provinces and centrally-governed cities, reflecting the public’s deep interest in the topic.

Following the success of the contest, the Central Commission for Communication and Education created bilingual and online pictorials as well as holding exhibitions throughout the country to foster the love for the country and pride in national territorial integrity.

As part of such an effort, the virtual reality exhibition has been designed to diversify the forms of communication on the beauty of Vietnam’s border regions, according to Le Hai Binh, deputy head of the commission.

After the exhibition’s opening ceremony, the organisers launched the second edition of the contest, open to all Vietnamese citizens both at home and abroad.

The contest will have two first prizes worth 20 million VND each, four second prizes worth 15 million VND each, six third prizes worth 10 million VND each and ten consolation prizes worth 5 million VND each.

Entries should be submitted to the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists no later than August 30.

Visitors savour the photos using virtual reality technology.
