The competition acts as an artistic playground for circus artists working in public and non-public circus art units as well as students studying at circus art training institutions nationwide.

This year’s event features nearly 100 artists, actors and actresses from four units including Phuong Nam Arts Theatre, Vietnam Intermediate School of Circus and Variety Arts, Hanoi Circus and Variety Theatre, and Vietnam Circus Federation.

The audience will be dazzled with 20 circus acts in various forms, such as acrobatics, juggling, balance, magic, and clowning. According to the rules, each act will be performed twice. The acts must showcase the basic characteristics of circus arts.

The organisers encourage newly choreographed acts that are experimental and uniquely creative, combined with costumes, props, and music that match the acts’ contents and the performers' technique.

The units and individuals need to select acts that provide ample material for performers to demonstrate their talent through high-level professional techniques, artistry, and performance style, leaving a deep impression and beautiful emotions for the audience.

Within the framework of the 2024 National Circus Talent Competition, a street circus parade featuring spectacular performances by professional artists will be held on the Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street and around Thien Quang Lake, Hanoi.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will present the first and second prizes to the most outstanding acts. Additionally, there will be an excellence award for an outstanding choreographer and an outstanding trainer participating in the competition.
