The event was co-organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, and the provincial authorities of Dien Bien.
Participants at the programme enjoyed songs and dances praising the brave fighting spirit of the Vietnamese people and army during Dien Bien Phu Campaign. They also listened to stories shared by historical witnesses who directly participated in the campaign.
At the event, the organising board presented 50 gifts to veteran soldiers, young volunteers, and frontline workers serving the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, and 20 gifts to disadvantaged children in Dien Bien Province.
The Kim Dong Publishing House recently released 17 publications in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.
The publications, covering various genres of novels, short stories, poetry, diaries, and comics, provide readers with an insight into the happenings and significance of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, thus evoking national pride and patriotism among them.
