Russia has traditionally been a key source market for Khanh Hoa. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict, direct flights from Russia to Khanh Hoa were suspended in 2022. In the meantime, Russian tourists traveling to Khanh Hoa had to transit through countries such as China and Kazakhstan.
The reopening of 11 direct flight routes bringing Russian tourists to Khanh Hoa presents an opportunity for the locality to restore and expand cooperation with this key source market following a period of disruption. Additionally, it enhances promotional activities, introducing tourism products and services to attract large numbers of international visitors to Vietnam.
