Caring for the health of war veterans is always a major policy of the Party and State, and a fine tradition of the nation. With that spirit, Bach Mai Hospital chose to begin its journey in Ninh Binh with a free health check-up programme for those who have sacrificed and contributed to the Fatherland.
The campaign ran continuously before the new facility officially opened and was intensified on July 4 and 5 to ensure maximum convenience for the public.
July 5 marked the completion of a free health check-up and screening programme for 5,000 people under social welfare policies in Ninh Binh Province.
A special feature of the programme was the decision to hold the check-ups on a weekend, as directed by Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Party Secretary and Director of Bach Mai Hospital. This timing was designed to enable children and grandchildren to arrange their time off to directly transport and care for their parents and grandparents throughout the examination process.
In addition to overseeing the operations, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co also personally examined patients, took their pulses, and listened to the health stories of war invalids, meritorious individuals, and elderly people.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co remarked: “The gift of health given to our predecessors and those who have contributed to Ninh Binh in the early days of the Ninh Binh branch of Bach Mai Hospital’s operation is our way of upholding the principle of 'When drinking water, remember its source.' We hope that the new facility will not only contribute to improving the medical capacity of the region but also become a reliable, accessible, and humane place for medical examination and treatment for the people.”
The completion of the free health check-up programme also demonstrated that the Ninh Binh branch of Bach Mai Hospital has quickly stabilised its operations and is ready to meet the high-quality medical examination and treatment needs of the people in the region.
