The awards, directed by the Viet Nam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), aim to promote the development of science, technology, innovation, and the nation’s digital transformation.
The programme recognises organisations, enterprises, scientists, and individuals who pioneer the application of new technologies and create practical value for the socio‑economy, while also strengthening partnerships between the state, enterprises, research institutes, universities, scientists, and the international investment community to foster cooperation, technology transfer, and commercialisation.
Implemented from March 5 to April 30, the programme attracted nearly 300 entries from more than 200 organisations, enterprises, and localities. Among them were many outstanding solutions contributing to smart healthcare governance, the development of a green economy, the application of AI and big data, and the acceleration of digital transformation in governance, production, business, and the preservation of Viet Nam’s cultural values.
After two selection rounds, the judging panel selected and awarded 142 outstanding submissions across the categories of Digital Industry and Infrastructure; Social Impact and Sustainability; Culture, Heritage and Global Cooperation; Governance and Leadership Capacity; and the Green Dragon Awards.
According to VUSTA President Dr Phan Xuan Dung, after four years of implementation under the name TOP Industry 4.0, this year’s event has officially been rebranded as the Viet Nam I4 Impact Awards.
This is not merely a change of name but a transformation in development thinking and core values. “I4” today not only refers to “Industry 4.0” but also includes “Innovation, Intelligence, and Impact.”
Through the programme, VUSTA seeks to continue building a connective platform between the state, enterprises, research institutes, universities, scientists, and investors to promote innovation, technology transfer, and the formation of new value chains for Viet Nam’s future.
