The event took place within the framework of the state visit by Party General Secretary and State President To Lam to India from May 5 – 7.

The signing ceremony took place at a time when Viet Nam - India relations are entering a new phase, marked by stronger commitments to cooperation across various sectors, including economy, science and technology, and sustainable agriculture.

The decision by BIOWAY and PJTAU to formalise their partnership within this significant diplomatic context reflects their strong alignment with the strategic orientations of both Governments, while also reaffirming the vast potential of cross-border collaboration between enterprises and academic institutions.

Le Thi Cam Tien, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of BIOWAY Viet Nam, stated: “We highly value the opportunity to sign this agreement during this historic occasion. This is not only a continuation of our cooperation journey, but also an important expansion step that will enable BIOWAY Viet Nam’s technology to penetrate more deeply into India’s agricultural practices, thereby contributing to the sustainable development goals of both nations.”

Under the signed MoA, the two parties will establish a pilot demonstration unit at PJTAU’s main campus in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of BIOWAY technology under the specific soil, climate, and agricultural conditions of Telangana State.

BIOWAY technology possesses breakthrough capabilities in converting organic waste into high-quality bio-fertiliser within approximately six hours. The technology can process a wide range of input materials, including agricultural by-products, municipal organic waste, food-processing residues, market waste, garden waste, and livestock waste. The project will deploy the AT-6H BUV15000-15T model together with a synchronised supporting system.

Within the framework of the cooperation, BIOWAY will bear the full costs related to equipment supply, transportation, installation support, operation, and technical training. PJTAU will provide land, infrastructure, operational personnel, conduct scientific field trials, and support local logistics activities.

The partnership aims to establish a sustainable waste-to-fertiliser ecosystem in Telangana, while paving the way for the replication of the model across other regions of India in the next phase.
