This is the first modern and professional press and media facility established by the capital, aiming to enhance the quality of information and communication in the digital era.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were members of the Party Central Committee, including Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Mass Mobilisation, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists' Association; Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee; and Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as journalists, editors, and media professionals from across the country.

The centre is equipped with modern infrastructure, including an open and flexible newsroom suitable for multiple media formats, including print, photo, television, and multimedia. Key technical systems include high-speed data transmission, digital data storage, a central information coordination hub, live broadcast studios, video conferencing equipment, and real-time digital data dashboards.

A notable feature of the centre is its application of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) for monitoring online trends, analysing information in cyberspace, detecting misinformation, and using big data to assess the impact of media coverage. This forms part of the city’s strategy to build a smart, open, and user-friendly media ecosystem.

Speaking at the event, Chairman Tran Sy Thanh highlighted the centre’s role as a focal point for receiving, processing, and distributing information from municipal administrative agencies. It will also serve as a platform to connect city departments with the media, the public, and the business community.

The centre’s establishment demonstrates the city’s strong commitment to transparency and modern public administration, while also supporting the development of a dynamic and responsive media environment. It is expected to contribute to building a digital, friendly, and citizen-oriented government.

On the occasion, the Ha Noi People’s Committee Office announced the official regulation on the management and operation of the Capital Press Centre, which provides a legal framework for the centre’s activities.

A cooperation agreement was also signed between the Ha Noi People’s Committee Office and the government portal to strengthen data connectivity and facilitate timely access to official information for media agencies.

Additionally, the Centre for Communications, Data and Digital Technology signed cooperation agreements with Ha Noi-based press organisations to develop a media network that leverages digital platforms, enhances information sharing, and improves the timeliness of responses to emerging social issues.
