The festival aims to commemorate the 4th anniversary of Thu Duc City (January 1, 2021 - 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 -2025). It is also the start of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2025).
Taking place from December 28, 2024, to January 1, 2025, at Saigon River Park, this multi-coloured and multi-experience festival is the first of its kind in Ho Chi Minh City. It blends culture, community, technology, arts, creativity, and sustainability, setting a new standard for New Year celebrations.

Designed with the grandeur of major global festivals, the event promises to become a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike. Themed around traditional features of South Vietnam, it offers a vibrant blend of traditional and contemporary Tet (Lunar New Year) experiences.
The City Tet Fest - Thu Duc 2025 features an exciting array of cultural, entertainment, artistic, culinary, shopping, and gaming activities across five days, with ten key highlights including the opening ceremony last evening, the Countdown Gala on December 31, a multimedia exhibition themed "See Your Tet Sound", visual showcase - "Diversity in Chaos”, the contemporary folk games - "Giant human chessboard", the performances of bolero singing in Ao Dai and Lo to show, hip-hop performances, an international hip-hop competition themed “Open Your Mind Vietnam”, Loco Art Market, foodmap-megalive agricultural fair, and a special sunset bar on the Saigon River.
This diverse lineup offers attendees a rich and memorable experience of southern Vietnamese New Year traditions infused with modern creativity and global influences.
