Once they are completed, the houses, each worth 60 million VND, will be handed over to poor workers and those whose homes collapsed due to Typhoon Yagi in the city.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labour Federation, Pham Chi Tam, said the project aims to help disadvantaged workers overcome poor housing circumstances.

He called for further support from individuals, collectives, and organisations in such projects so that no one is left behind in society.

As one of the project’s beneficiaries, Tran Thi Thuy Trang, a worker residing in Tan Hiep Commune, Hoc Mon District, said she was glad and thankful to receive the housing support from the city’s Labour Federation.
