In a solemn atmosphere, Minister Luong Tam Quang and the delegation expressed their profound gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh – national liberation hero, outstanding cultural figure, and the founder and trainer of the Communist Party of Viet Nam.
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always paid special attention to the People’s Public Security force.
Implementing his sacred instructions, over the past year, the studying and following of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, combined with the movement for the People’s Public Security force to study and practise the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho, has become a regular and continuous task throughout the entire force. This has created clear changes in awareness and action of each officer and soldier, contributing to the building of firm political courage, pure moral qualities, and a disciplined, responsible lifestyle devoted to serving the people.
Under all conditions and in all circumstances, the People’s Public Security force has always upheld a spirit of dedication and courage, proactively overcoming difficulties, and standing ready to accept and successfully fulfil all tasks entrusted by the Party, the State, and the people.
Before his spirit, the delegation pledged to continue maintaining unity and solidarity, joining hands and pooling efforts, making the most of opportunities and favourable conditions, and maximising all resources to strive together to realise the goal of comprehensive, strong and breakthrough development, bringing the country into a new era of development – the era of the Vietnamese nation’s rise.
General Luong Tam Quang and the delegation pledged to continue promoting the heroic revolutionary tradition, upholding a high sense of responsibility, constantly cultivating political steadfastness and moral integrity, and improving professional competence; determined to build the People’s Public Security force to be truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern, meeting mission requirements in the new situation.
At Chung Son Temple, the delegation respectfully laid flowers and offered incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh, expressing gratitude to his parents, siblings and family members, as well as to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and for the happiness of the people.
On the same day, the delegation also offered incense in commemoration of Comrade Tran Quoc Hoan, late Politburo member and late Minister of Public Security, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of his birth, in Thien Nhan Commune, Nghe An Province.
Comrade Tran Quoc Hoan, whose birth name was Nguyen Trong Canh, was born on January 23, 1916, in Duong Lieu village, Nam Duong Commune, now Thien Nhan Commune, Nghe An Province.
With more than 50 years of revolutionary activity, including 28 years serving as Minister of Public Security, Comrade Tran Quoc Hoan made great contributions to building the People’s Public Security force into a key, reliable armed force that is absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people.
Before the spirit of Comrade Tran Quoc Hoan, the delegation pledged to forever follow the revolutionary path chosen by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, and to always study and follow his example. They committed to further promoting the “Three Best” emulation movement – “Most disciplined, Most loyal, Closest to the people” – to build the People’s Public Security force to be increasingly regular, elite and modern, excellently fulfilling tasks in the new situation, and worthy of the sacred, noble honour and glorious tradition of the Viet Nam People’s Public Security.
