Ambassadors of inspiration
One of the honourees is H’Mon E Ban, an Ede ethnic student at Le Hong Phong Secondary School, Cu M’gar District, Dak Lak Province.
Despite growing up in a poor family, H’Mon E Ban never stops striving against difficulties to gain outstanding academic results at school. She was selected as one of the representatives of Ede ethnic minority children nationwide attending the second mock session of the “Children’s National Assembly” in Ha Noi in September 2024 and the 10th “Uncle Ho’s Good Grandchildren” national congress.
H'Mon E Ban shared that she is very proud to be a delegate at the national congress. She always follows the spirit of self-study and deeply remembers Uncle Ho’s teachings for children.
She hopes to join hands with children across the country, equipped themselves with knowledge and patriotism to confidently move forward and contribute to the national construction and development.

Accompanying the Dak Lak student delegation to the 10th ‘Uncle Ho’s Good Grandchildren’ national congress, Tran Duc Thanh from the Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union said that over the past years, the Provincial Youth Union has paid great care and attention to promoting children’s movements.
Many practical activities have been launched to support disadvantaged children, particularly those from ethnic minority groups, to overcome difficulties and spread the spirit of sharing in the community.
At this year’s ‘Uncle Ho’s Good Grandchildren’ national congress, two students from Dak Lak Province were honoured with the Kim Dong Award.
As a representative from Dak Nong Province, K’Nang, a Ma ethnic minority student is a bright example in study who have won many outstanding academic achievements, such as awards in provincial English speaking contests and sports competitions. He has also actively participated in community activities.
According to Dieu Le Nam Nam, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation Council of Dak Nong Province, K’Nang is a vivid image of today’s mountainous children who are confident, courageous, and full of determination.
A testament to care and Aspiration
Themed ‘Vietnamese children advancing with confidence into the new era’, the 10th ‘Uncle Ho’s Good Grandchildren’ National Congress 2025 reflected the great care and high expectations of the Party, State, and society for the young generation - the future owners of the country who will continue the cause of national construction and development.
The event provided an opportunity to promote the campaign on studying and follow President Ho’s teachings among children.

Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central and Chairwoman of the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation, reported that among 500 outstanding child delegates attending the congress, there were 104 ethnic minority children from mountainous, border, island, and remote areas.
Their presence not only contributes to the diverse and rich identity of the congress but also clearly demonstrates the deep care of the Party, State, and society, including the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation, for children in general and ethnic minority children in particular, she stressed.
She hailed that the ethnic minority children are truly shining examples, positively inspiring not only ethnic minority children but all children nationwide.
She expressed her hope that through the congress, national pride and gratitude for the glorious traditions of the nation and the noble values nurtured by ancestors will be kindled in the hearts of the child delegates, helping to spark dreams, aspirations, and a spirit of dedication in the younger generation.
This will be a source of inspiration that will foster their willpower, nurture their dreams, and form their determination to uphold the prestigious title of “Uncle Ho’s Good Grandchildren” on their journey to becoming good citizens of the country.
The National Congress of Uncle Ho's Good Grandchildren is an important event, a great festival for Vietnamese children. Held every five years, the Congress aims to honour children with outstanding achievements, typical in studying, training, and emulating to well implement the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho to teenagers and children.
The 10th National Congress took place in Ha Noi on May 13-15, 2025, bringing together 500 individuals representing nearly 16 million members of teenagers' and children’s organisations across the country.
