The project was developed by Hacom Holdings in partnership with Thanh Dong Ninh Thuan JSC.
After a long wait, the dream of owning a home has become a reality for many families, marking another milestone in the development of social housing and meeting the housing needs of local residents in Lao Cai.
The Hacom Riverside social housing project covers an area of 16,608 square metres and comprises four 12-storey apartment buildings, yielding 760 apartments with a total floor area of about 66,560 square metres and accommodating over 1,870 residents.
The apartments come in a range of sizes to accommodate diverse household configurations. The project also features green spaces, flower gardens, a children’s playground, sports facilities, parking areas, and other amenities.
According to Doan Van Tuan, Director of the Lao Cai Branch of Hacom Holdings, the handover marks a concrete step in implementing the government’s plan to construct a minimum of one million social housing units for low-income earners and industrial park workers during the 2021–2030 period.
As demand for housing among workers and low-income earners continues to grow, the addition of 760 apartments at Hacom Riverside expands housing access for eligible demographics, while also contributing to the effective use of land, infrastructure development, and the formation of a new residential area.
Lao Cai currently has eight social housing projects that have been completed or are under development, which are expected to deliver nearly 8,000 apartments.
