The event aims to commemorating the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025),
The exhibition features nearly 500 images, documents, and artifacts, divided into four main display sections, along with several interactive activities.
In his opening speech, Colonel Nguyen Nhu Truc, Deputy Chief of the Political Department of Military Region 7, emphasised that the exhibition is a meaningful event within the series of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification.

The exhibition affirms the significance, historical value, and contemporary relevance of the Spring 1975 General Offensive and Uprising, with the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign marking its peak. This campaign ushered Vietnam into a new era — an era of national independence and socialism — with Ho Chi Minh City becoming a shining example of development and reconstruction after liberation.

“The exhibition contributes to educating officers, soldiers, armed forces, and the public, especially the younger generation, to uphold revolutionary traditions, foster patriotism, national pride, and determination to build a prosperous, civilised, and happy nation. It also aims to strengthen an all-people national defence and firmly safeguard the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new era,” said Colonel Nguyen Nhu Truc.
The event will run until May 20 at the Ho Chi Minh Campaign Museum in Ho Chi Minh City.
