Exhibition shows love of veteran artists to homeland

Nhan Dan Online – More than 120 artworks by 88 artists from Vietnam Fine Arts Association’s Elderly Member Club are on display at an exhibition opened on September 22 in Hanoi.

The exhibits, presented in various media including oil, lacquer, pastel and watercolour, feature the natural landscape of the country and daily activities of people.

Speaking at the opening, Head of the Club, painter Le Thanh said that despite their old age, the veteran artists hold a passion for life and the arts. Their works were produced in a fresh style with practical topics, he added.

He also expressed his hope that the veteran members would promote their distinctive manner through upcoming exhibitions.

The event will last until October 2 at Exhibition House, 16 Ngo Quyen street, Hoan Kiem district.
