Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan said that maternal-child health care and reproductive health still faces many difficulties with huge disparities between regions and ethnic groups.
To support mountainous provinces to achieve important goals regarding health and nutrition for mothers and children, the Health Ministry issued a decision on December 6, 2023 on assigning Hai Phong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital to support several mountainous provinces such as Lao Cai and Yen Bai.
At the event, doctors and nurses from Hai Phong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in coordination with doctors from Lao Cai Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and Bac Ha District General Hospital organised medical examinations for local people in the area.
Hai Phong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital also held training and transferred medical techniques to doctors at Bac Ha District General Hospital.
At the event, the People’s Committee of Lao Cai Province and leaders of the Health Ministry presented 50 gifts to patients being treated at Bac Ha District General Hospital.
