This year’s event is held on a bigger scale than its previous edition, with a 30% increase in the displaying area and 40% increase in the number of attending businesses.
With 13,000sq.m. of exhibition space, the businesses can comfortably showcase their equipment and accessories, which are used in the production and dyeing of fibres and textiles.
Saigon Tex provides a good opportunity for garment and textile businesses to access new and advanced technologies, and seek out suitable sources of materials.
The annual event is organised by the state-owned Vietnam National Textiles and Garments Group (Vinatex) in association with the VCCI Exhibition Service Company and the Hong Kong Exhibition Joint Stock Company. It runs through April 13 at Tan Binh Exhibition and Fair Centre, 446 Hoang Van Thu Street, Tan Binh district.
In 2013, Vietnam’s garment and textile industries earned US$20.4 billion in export revenues—a year-on-year increase of 18%. This year, the industry has targeted export revenue of US$25 billion. To hit the target, the industry has focused on increasing product quality to meet the demand of international market while encouraging more investment in technology.
