Ha Noi allocates nearly 4.2 trillion VND in loans for the poor and policy beneficiaries

Over the past ten months, Ha Noi has authorised the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies to provide loans totalling nearly 4.2 trillion VND to poor households and policy beneficiaries, helping create jobs for 49,400 workers.

According to Ha Noi Statistics Office, in the first ten months of 2025, the city created jobs for 195,500 workers, exceeding the annual plan by 15.7% and up 0.6% compared to the same period in 2024. Of this total, the city authorised loans through the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies worth 4.117 trillion VND for poor households and policy beneficiaries, helping create jobs for 49,400 workers.

At the same time, the Ha Noi Employment Service Centre organised 215 job transaction sessions, introducing jobs for 21,100 workers. The number of workers sent abroad under contract reached 3,300, while 121,700 workers found employment through labour service enterprises and other channels.

In October 2025 alone, the city supported and created jobs for 16,700 workers, down 4.6% compared to the same period in 2024. During this period, the city authorised loans through the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies totalling 356 billion VND for poor households and policy beneficiaries, helping create jobs for 4,100 workers.

By the end of October, the city had 203,300 beneficiaries receiving monthly social allowances. Ha Noi is also providing care and support for 3,016 social protection beneficiaries, including elderly people living alone, persons with disabilities, children without caregivers, and other vulnerable individuals at municipal social welfare facilities.

The minimum monthly allowance for these groups is 1.8 million VND per person (and 2.2 million VND per month for children under four years old), along with an additional 350,000 VND per month for other expenses.
