Visitors to the two-day event will have chance to taste characteristic, fresh German beer as well as the country’s culinary specialties prepared by experienced cooks from the Movenpick hotel in Hanoi.
German folk music performances from the Bavarian region by ‘The Gaudiblosn’ band from Munich, along with other entertainment activities are also scheduled during the festival.
Oktoberfest Hanoi 2012 aims to promote German culture to Vietnam, as well as provide an opportunity for businesses from the two countries to exchange and co-operate with each other, said German ambassador Jutta Gisela Frasch.
A ticket to the event, which is jointly held by the German Business Association and the German Embassy in Vietnam, is priced at VND 1,050,000 (around US$50).
