Notably, the number of international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City Book Street for sightseeing and shopping increased significantly during the holiday.

During the Tet holiday, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street on Nguyen Van Binh Street coordinated with Phuong Nam Book to organise the 2026 Spring Book Fair.

The annual event aims to meet the public’s demand for spring outings, book appreciation and participation in cultural activities at the beginning of the year.

In particular, the organisers created a festive book and cultural product space, showcasing a wide range of Tet-themed books, cultural and historical titles, children’s books, skill-development books and knowledge-based gift items suitable for New Year presents.

At the same time, interactive and experiential spaces were regularly arranged, featuring workshops and traditional Tet-themed activities such as to he figurine making, piggy bank painting, calligraphy giveaways, and an interactive wall for visitors to write wishes and New Year greetings, helping to create a joyful and community-oriented atmosphere.

According to a report from the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Company Limited, from the 27th day of the last lunar month of 2025 to the sixth day of the 2026 Lunar New Year, the book street welcomed around 8,000 visitors for sightseeing and early-year shopping. Total revenue was estimated at approximately 1.5 billion VND, including sales from on-site booths and the annual Tet book fair organised by Phuong Nam Book along the street throughout the holiday. Compared with the same period in 2025, both visitor numbers and revenue increased by about 20%.

“Most visitors coming to book street for spring outings were foreign tourists, while the number of domestic and family visitors saw a slight decline,” the book street representative added.
