Three months after its launch, a contest on designing a tourism programme to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification has attracted many travel businesses, students and organisations.
The tours are expected to promote the meaning, historical and cultural values, and exploit the potential and advantages of tourism resources of the city and neighbouring localities.
Visitors will find the Saigon-Ho Chi Minh City Imprint through “50 years of memories from the past to the present”, with destinations such as the Saigon Special Forces Museum with the Floating Bunker Relic, the secret mailbox associated with the Saigon Special Forces before 1975; conquer the Landmark 81 Skyview Observatory; enjoy the “A O Show”; cruise on the Saigon River at night, enjoy a dinner party with a special musical performance; experience a day as a “salt farmer” on Thieng Lieng Island.
The contest’s award ceremony is scheduled to be held within the framework of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, in early April 2025 at September 23 Park.
