Human Act Prize is an annual national award to honour and promote projects for the community, as well as recognise worthy organisations, businesses and individuals, who are making efforts to contribute to society. The award is organised by Nhan Dan Newspaper and its accompanying unit, VCCorp Joint Stock Company.
In its first year of organization with the theme “Pioneering Imprint”, Human Act Prize has made a big impact in the community.
Speaking at the event, Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association Le Quoc Minh, Head of the Executive Awards Organising Committee of Human Act Prize emphasised that Human Act Prize 2023 has been assessed by the relevant agencies and the community as a very timely step by Nhan Dan Newspaper and its partners, contributing to further unblocking the flow for the community as well as enhancing the influence of the Social Impact field.
An overview of the ceremony. |
Since the Award Gala in November 2023, the Organising Committee has seen that community projects continue to be deployed and initiated across the country, he said, adding that not only large enterprises have proactively taken on the responsibility of contributing, but there have also appeared many volunteer groups and projects, although small in scale, with good and creative ways of doing things, which have begun to inspire society, suggesting many other organisations and individuals to replicate the model.
This is the spirit that the Human Act Prize wishes to promote and encourage so that the community movement can both develop in breadth and be solid in depth, truly creating a change in awareness and quality of life for beneficiaries. Therefore, the Organising Committee decided to choose the theme of the second year of Human Act Prize 2024 as Creative Community, he noted.
A new point of this year’s Prize is the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding with the support units to improve the quality of information provision, the quality of organising forums, seminars, courses on community projects, etc.
All these activities are part of the development roadmap of the Human Act Prize to realize the goal that the Organising Committee has committed to since the first year, which is to ensure that all initiatives related to Social Impact in Vietnam are disseminated promptly, transparently, effectively and humanely.
