The “Hundred Flowers of Joy” Vietnamese Costume Festival is a special cultural project in the Viet Nam Happy Fest 2025 programme implemented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ha Noi People’s Committee, Viet Nam Television and the Viet Nam Association of Photographic Artists.
With a unique 3-stop itinerary, attendees entered the festival space and experience a journey of joy imbued with Vietnamese culture. The rhythm and costumes of the procession lead viewers back to different periods, from the solemnity of the Nguyen Dynasty wedding ceremony to the familiar wedding images of the 1990s.
Each scene depicted the sacred moments of Vietnamese wedding ceremonies through each period, contributing to highlighting the cultural depth of traditional wedding ceremonies.
At Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, the Nguyen Dynasty wedding ceremony space with its solemn setting, traditional costumes and the typical ritual rhythm of the Nguyen Dynasty brings viewers to the atmosphere of the happy days of the past.
In the area in front of the Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports (47 Hang Dau Street), the scene recreating a Vietnamese wedding in the 1990s brought a sense of closeness and nostalgia, recalling familiar images that are deeply imprinted in the memories of many generations.
The parade departed from Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, passed through Hang Dau Street, Trang Tien Area, Hang Khay, around Hoan Kiem Lake and then returned to the main stage. On both sides of the street, the sound of happy wishes mixed with the bustling drum beat and fluttering uniforms created emotional stops, helping viewers clearly feel the pride when cultural values were revived in the centre of the Old Quarter.
