In Pictures: Youth Federation holds flag-raising ceremony nationwide

The Viet Nam Youth Federation hosted a flag-raising ceremony across 34 provinces and cities early on the morning on August 16. It was one of the federation’s activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).

The ceremony aims to raise national pride and patriotism for the fatherland among the younger generation.

Participants sang the national anthem and the Federation’s anthem together.

The ceremony in Ha Noi attracted the participation of Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and President of the Viet Nam Youth Federation, representatives of government agencies, and hundreds of youth union members.

At the ceremony, the organisers presented 800 national flags and portraits of President Ho Chi Minh to the Ha Noi Youth Federation and outstanding youth and children of the capital. They also visited and presented gifts to five families of revolutionary elders and policy beneficiaries in the capital city.

The flag-raising ceremony was part of the “I Love My Country” campaign.

Under the campaign, the Viet Nam Youth Federation at all levels has distributed nearly 16,000 national flags, 3,000 portraits of President Ho Chi Minh; implemented nearly 2,000 youth activities; organised about 2,000 visits to historic sites; and provided nearly 2,500 gifts, with a total funding of nearly 1.7 billion VND.

The campaign encourages youth union members to express patriotism and national pride through photography, short videos about the homeland, and visits to historic revolutionary sites.
