The programme organised by the Viet Nam Musicians Association aimed to affirm, honour, and promote the great values of typical musical works in particular and the contributions of revolutionary music in general in the 50-year historical journey of the nation.
Speaking at the programme, Major General, Musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Viet Nam Musicians Association, commented: Over the past 50 years, there have been tens of thousands of songs written by generations of Vietnamese musicians about the great historical event of the nation: the liberation of the South - reunification of the country, entering the era of national independence, building and defending the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and today entering the era of national growth.
At the programme, the Organising Committee announced and awarded certificates of honour to 50 songs and 5 typical instrumental and musical works in the flow of 50 years of Vietnamese music after the country's reunification. This is the result based on the votes of the Viet Nam Musicians Associations nationwide.
Nearly 20 elaborately staged performances brought about both heroic and profound melodies of songs that have endured through the years, lighting up love for humanity and the Fatherland.
