In Viet Nam’s process of renewal and international integration, private sector development is not only an objective requirement of the socialist-oriented market economy, but also one of the important drivers of growth, innovation, and the enhancement of national competitiveness.

In response to practical requirements, the Politburo’s issuance of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW (dated May 4, 2025) on private sector development is regarded as an important milestone in the Party’s economic development thinking, as it affirms for the first time that the private sector is “one of the most important drivers of the national economy.”

Against that backdrop, the book “The Politburo’s Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW: Breakthroughs for Private Sector Development — Questions and Answers”, published by the Su That National Political Publishing House, has become a valuable document in both theoretical and practical terms. It helps cadres, Party members, the business community, and a wide readership gain a clearer understanding of the Party’s new guidelines on private sector development in the new period.

The content of the book reflects the strong spirit of renewal embodied in Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW through 97 questions divided into three parts: general awareness of the private sector; core contents and breakthrough thinking in the Politburo’s Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW; and mobilising the participation of the entire political system in promoting private sector development.

Notably, the book devotes substantial space, with 50 questions, to the core contents of the resolution’s renewed thinking, as well as a system of solutions to promote the role of the private sector. It provides readers with a multidimensional view of one of the four breakthrough resolutions designed to help the country enter a new era.

Readers can also find in the book information on new mechanisms and policies aimed at creating a favourable environment for the private sector to develop. From administrative procedure reform, protection of property rights, credit support, and capital market development to encouraging enterprises to invest in high technology, digital transformation, and green transition, all issues are presented in a coherent and accessible manner.
