The opening ceremony attracted the participation of Alexander Beglov, Governor of Saint Petersburg; Sergei Stepashin, former Prime Minister of Russia and President of the Russian Book Union; and more than 250 stalls by Russian and international exhibitors.
Nhan Dan Newspaper’s stall exhibits a wide range of publications on the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, and the national construction and defence of the Vietnamese people.
Works on display also include books penned by Party Secretary General Nguyen Phu Trong, as well as books on the Dien Bien Phu Victory and General Vo Nguyen Giap.
While visiting the Nhan Dan Newspaper’s stall, Governor Beglov expressed his pleasure at the newspaper’s participation in the event, conveying his hope that the newspaper will continue in its response to events hosted by the city’s authorities.
On the occasion, a representative of Nhan Dan Newspaper presented the Governor of Saint Petersburg with a painting featuring President Ho Chi Minh reading Nhan Dan Newspaper.
