Speaking at the event, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Que Dinh Nguyen, stated that throughout the development of Nhan Dan Newspaper, the subject of soldiers in particular and the People’s Army in general have always been among the focal points of its propaganda efforts. This focus not only represents a responsibility but also reflects the deep affection of the Party press for the Vietnam People's Army.
Specifically, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 –2024), in addition to traditional journalistic works, Nhan Dan Newspaper has held an interactive exhibition themed "Famous Battles, Renowned Generals".
Visitors had the chance to admire a collection of 20 water-colour portraits of renowned generals of the Vietnam People's Army, which were created by artist Do Hoang Tuong on ‘do’ paper (a kind of traditional painting paper). The works vividly depict legendary generals such as General Vo Nguyen Giap, General Nguyen Chi Thanh, General Le Trong Tan, General Hoang Van Thai, General Le Duc Anh, and others.
