Over 266,500 temporary and dilapidated houses eliminated nationwide

As of the end of July 19, more than 266,500 temporary and dilapidated houses have been eliminated nationwide. Of which, nearly 42,000 houses are for people with revolutionary contributions.

The Ministry of Ethnic Minority and Religious Affairs said that according to data reported by localities as of the end of July 19, more than 266,500 temporary and dilapidated houses have been eliminated nationwide. Of which, 231,513 houses have been inaugurated and 34,998 houses are under construction.

Regarding specific figures, according to the Ministry of Ethnic Minority and Religious Affairs, the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses has supported 41,843 houses for people with revolutionary contributions. Of which, 35,031 houses have beeninaugurated and 6,812 houses are under construction.

Furthermore, 86,990 houses were supported under twonational target programs. Of which, 80,809 houses have been inaugurated and 6,181 houses are under construction.

128,760 houses have been supported under the programmeto eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with 109,220 houses inaugurated and 19,540 houses under construction.

At the 6th meeting of the Central Steering Committee on the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide held on July 9, Nong Thi Ha, Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minority and Religious Affairs, said that so far, the total resources mobilised for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide have exceeded 17.8 trillion VND, including sources from the central budget, local budgets, and social mobilisation funds.

In particular, the programme has attracted the participation of the community with more than 113,400 participants, contributing a total of more than 1 million working days.
