The information was released on May 23, by the Customs Office at the Lao Cai International Border Gate.

Fresh lychees have been exported over the past ten days, with more than 200 vehicles transporting the fruits from Bac Giang and Hung Yen Provinces, for customs clearance at the Kim Thanh II Border Gate.

To facilitate the export of the fruit, the Management Board of Lao Cai Border Economic Zone has directed functional units at the border gate to arrange the most convenient lanes for trucks carrying fresh lychees and complete all procedures within the morning, to reduce risks for businesses, particularly amidst the current hot and sunny weather conditions.

In 2023, over 40,000 tonnes of fresh lychees were exported to China through the Kim Thanh II International Border Gate.
