Taking place from July 28 to 31, the programme features various activities including a cooking event of 101 dishes made with Phu Yen tuna, a Bai Choi folk singing festival, and a lobster festival in Song Cau Town, which is known as the lobster capital of Phu Yen.

The event aims to honour the traditional craft of tuna fishing in Phu Yen and advertise the land and unique culture of the locality to domestic and international friends while providing an opportunity for tourism businesses to introduce their products and services to visitors.

According to Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Dao My, the local authorities and people have worked to promote Phu Yen as a green, clean, safe, attractive and friendly destination for tourists.

The province welcomed over 900,000 holidaymakers in the first seven months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 177%.

In 2022, Phu Yen targets to serve about 2 million visitors, including more than 20,000 foreigners, and to earn over 2 trillion VND in tourism revenue.
