Speaking at the hand-over ceremony in Mang Yang District, Gia Lai Province, on February 25, Rah Lan Chung, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee, expressed his thanks for leaders of the Ministry of Public Security for the donation, pledging that the money will be used in the most democratic, fair, transparent and efficient manner.

He reported that nearly 8,500 disadvantaged homes will be constructed or repaired under the programme, with a total investment of around 459.4 billion VND. The province targets to complete the programme before June 30, 2025.

The funding is sourced from the local state budget, and donations from businesses, organisations and corporations both inside and outside the province.

To date, work has been started on 993 houses, with 142 having been completed.

At the programme, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the provincial authorities presented gifts to 10 disadvantaged households who have been selected as beneficiaries from the programme in Mang Yang District.
