At the meeting, Phan Dinh Trac expressed joy at the socio-economic development achievements of the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Dien Chau District in 2024.
He encouraged the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Dien Chau to remain united, strive for continued socio-economic development, and improve the material and spiritual lives of the people. He emphasised the need to reduce poverty rates and effectively implement housing programmes for disadvantaged households.
On the occasion, he presented many Tet gift packages to the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Dien Chau District. Additionally, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) donated 1 billion VND to Dien Chau District to purchase Tet gifts for families in difficult circumstances.
Earlier that day, Phan Dinh Trac also visited and presented Tet gifts to 50 policy beneficiary families, poor households, and families in special difficulty in Luong Minh Commune, Tuong Duong District.
Luong Minh is a particularly underprivileged commune in Tuong Duong District. It is home primarily to Thai and Kho Mu ethnic minorities. The local population faces many challenges, with 567 poor households and 408 near-poor households, accounting for 48.8% and over 30% of the commune’s population, respectively.
