Lam Kinh is the ancestral land of Le Loi, a national hero who led the Lam Son Uprising which expelled the Ming occupiers to liberate Vietnam in the 15the century.

It was recognised as a national site in 1962 and was renovated in 1994 to restore and protect the structures and items of the Le Dynasty.

On the same afternoon, PM Phuc visited a number of high-tech agricultural production models of the Lam Son Lam Son Sugar Company, where he noted that the company should focus more on processing in order to enhance the value of agricultural produce.

The government leader also visited Tho Xuan Airport, around 45 kilometres to the west of Thanh Hoa city. The airport served one million passengers in 2018 and is expected to have its capacity raised to 2.5 million in 2030.

PM Phuc stated that Thanh Hoa province needs to develop its tourism services in order to attract more flight passengers.
