Quang Ninh’s Van Don International Airport welcomes first flight of Lunar New Year

The Van Don International Airport in the northern Quang Ninh Province welcomed its international flight of lunar New Year 2024 on the morning of February 10.

The Vietnam Airlines flight, labelled VN1286, departed from Ho Chi Minh City and arrived at Van Don Airport at 8:55 AM, with 88 passengers on board.

Upon arrival, the passengers received a warm welcome and were presented with gifts from leaders of Van Don District and Van Don International Airport.

It is estimated that from February 10 to 17 — the first to eighth days of the first lunar month — Van Don International Airport will see 16 flights taking off and landing on the Ho Chi Minh City - Van Don route, carrying thousands of passengers.

According to a representative of Van Don International Airport, to meet the travel demands of people during Tet holiday, the airport has been closely coordinating with airlines to ensure the on-time performance of flights while improving service quality.
