The first phase of the Duc Giang Nghi Son Chemical Complex covers 30 hectares in Tan Truong Commune, Nghi Son Town. It has a total investment of 2.4 trillion VND and a capacity of 151,000 tons of chemicals per year.
It is one of three components of the 12 trillion-VND chemical complex. Once fully operational, the complex is expected to create 1,500 jobs.
Meanwhile, the 32-hectare Billion Union Vietnam fabric factory has a total investment of 70 million USD.
Once operational, the factory will supply 18,000 tons of fabric annually to domestic and international markets.
The two projects are expected to generate jobs and income for thousands of workers and increase state budget collection for Thanh Hoa Province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Van Thi, Standing Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, asked functional sectors and units, especially the Management Board of the Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks, to closely coordinate with investors and contractors to promptly resolve any arising difficulties and ensure security, social order, and safety during the projects’ implementation.
He also requested investors and construction contractors to ensure the projects’ progress, quality, labour safety, and environmental sanitation and complete the projects on schedule.
